Our continued contribution of the Dave Ramsey program to our local schools will provide them with the resources to teach over 1,000 students the financial habits and skills that lead to greater financial well-being.
Dave Ramsey created Foundations in Personal Finance, an easy-to-use, turnkey school program that teaches students the value of saving, spending and giving to guide them on the path to financial literacy, according to a statement from Riverview . Teachers challenge students to set goals like saving $ 500, applying for grants and scholarships, and writing their personal resumes.
More than 4 million students have completed the Foundations in Personal Finance course at colleges, high schools and universities nationwide. Personal Finance Foundations can be used as a primary or additional resource to meet requirements in math, economics, home consumer science, business math, and personal finance.
